What are the security options provided in CentOS

In last some years Linux is being considered as an better distribution for web service and hosting. I had found that many web hosting companies are moving Linux. I just want some info on the security and protection support on CentOS. CentOS has been the dominant operating system and much more secure also. But what are the other security support provided on the same. Does it comes with any kind of firewall support that can help a users to keep it more secure. What do you recommend for the same.

It is simply true to an extent. The main advantage with respect to CentOS RedHat company is the fact that it is free. So you do not need to pay and go for an commercial license. There are also very less chances for bugs and other security errors. On the other hand the server license for Red Hat Enterprise can cost. So CentOS is an alternative for in its place mostly. The much thing that users look for is security of their system with database protection which is proved here.

CentOS is entirely based on RHEL and is almost fully compatible with its products. Basically, the server operating system is the same as RHEL without the price tag. Do not miss any of the characteristics of the RHEL software company, besides the fact that it is not officially supported by RHEL, and has many additional advantages and modifications since its initial creation. You can simply go with an open comparison for the same and there are number of option you can configure here.

The clear advantage of CenOS over other distributions of Linux is the server operating system. It has an support for very large active and ever growing user community. This online user community provides you fast security updates. There are dedicated team of developers and the support on the same also very rapid through IRC chat. That makes it much more functional. The only success of an software lies with the growth and fast response of tech support on the same.

CentOS comes with an security support. On average, the Linux server administrators and support staff are more familiar with CentOS distribution than any other distribution and resolve problems faster, because it is very likely that they engage in a same problem. CentOS is also being constantly updated with new security fixes, patches and performance enhancements. The time needed to patch CentOS is better than the time required for patches of any other server OS.

It is found that CentOS as an very stable and effective operating system in comparison to Red Hat. That has been due to 5 support on CentOS which is optimized to run. those are Apache, PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails and many other development frameworks with maximum efficiency.CentOS is probably the operating system you want to use as they do from the ground up that is easy to maintain and very suitable for long-term use. There are some firewall support provided on the same that you can use on it.
