How to Create Client Printer on Server 2008 with IPP port

I'm demanding to transfer a web server from 2003 to 2008 and I'm running into troubles installing printers Internet. From 2003 it is IPP port printers labeled "Internet Port" in the form http://{address}:345/ipp. When trying to create these printers on my Server 2008 http://{address}:345/ipp not going to solve and create a port. Or I obtain a communication error, or it appears that the wizard produces a TCP / IP printer and communication does not perform and returns the error printout. All solutions and different methods to install these printers?

I ran into the similar problem and as of the study I did, I think you have to go to the server manager and then select roles and from that under the print service role you have to select add role services and confirm internet printing is installed. After that you must be able to generate printers using a URL. The server I include was running Citrix XenApp and later than I tired a long time receiving it installed, updated, and configured I wasn't going to receive a opportunity on top of the IPP website that is auto produced breaking my Citrix XenApp page. Maybe I'll attempt it resting on a spare VM for a moment just to make sure it works earlier than I attempt it in construction.

I include Internet printing client installed. To make clear I'm not demanding to host printers in the fresh Server 2008 I am trying to attach to printers through the Internet to the address present in the form of http://{address}:345/ipp These printers have a traffic routed through a router or firewall for any print server, HP Direct Jet often I have been able to install the printer on top of a Windows Vista workstation through the "Internet Port" like the port type, however Server 2008 is giving me troubles.

Hello according to my knowledge first go to server manager and select Features. And from there you have to add internet printing client feature and its required to connecting to network printers. And then again go to start and choose run and type services.msc and after that restart your print spooler service. Later than completion of this, go to ‘Start’ menu and choose ‘Devices and Printers’ and from there add the necessary network printer via the wizard. But, if an attempt has been through to add a network printer not including having performed the aforesaid steps, then this would include added a local printer of the similar name on top of the system. Consequent attempts, even later than having performed the aforesaid steps, outcome in addition of a local printer through the similar name.

Hello, please follow the steps first go to the 'Server Manager' and choose 'Roles'. And then from there beneath the 'Print and Document Services' role, confirm that ‘Print Server’ and 'Internet Printing' are chosen at what time installing the role. following installation, again you have to go to ‘Administrative Tools’ and later than select ‘Print Management’ and increase ‘Print Servers’. And then go to ‘Printers’ and remove the local printer which was installed as soon as trying to insert the network printer. Following this, go to ‘Drivers’ and remove the driver which was installed intended for the local printer. Later than go to ‘Ports’ and then delete the port which was linked intended for the local printer. Once completion of this, you have to go to ‘Start’ menu and select ‘Devices and Printers’ and from there insert the necessary network printer via the wizard.

Hello according to my experience and knowledge in support of windows server 2008, you require to make possible IPP client beneath the server manager. And once you done with it then you necessitate going to Microsoft and asking for the hotfix at this point. The above all other steps are important but within those steps you have to follow this. I hope this will help you to solve your problem. Please try this with your system setting. It really works. Thank you.
