Getting error 1208 and impossible to open a network drive in windows 7

Hey friends I need quick help from your side. Actually the problem is that I have recently installed the windows 7 on my system and after that I am getting an error 1208 and also after this when I try to open the network drive so I have seen that I am not able to access that. So regarding this I have tried many solution which is given on to many other forum site but unable to get proper solution for my query. Please help me as soon as it is possible.

You should check the security settings.

• Click Start, enter cmd in the Search box.
• Right click cmd that appears at the bottom of programs.
• Click Run as administrator, and click continue
• In the black window, enter the following command and press the button <ENTER>: Secpol.msc
• In the Local Security Policy window, expand Local Policies and click Security Options.
• Right Double click Network security: LAN Manager Authentication Level
• In the list select "Send LN & NTLM responses"

Hello and thank you for this answer, I have exactly the same error, my network drive that worked on Vista as inaccessible to me on Windows 7. I performed the operation reported, and restart the PC. However, nothing has changed; I still have the same error. I have followed all the steps as you have given here but as I mentioned that nothing happen to it. Thank you for your help.

From falling on this topic and after that getting no response, I send you the procedure that works to access an SD network: Check in network, your issue get resolved.

• Open "computer"
• In the left window, right click on "Network" then "Network Drive"
• In the box "Folder", enter the full path to the target directory (\ \ Mondd \ mydir) then click browse, you should see your directory under the name of your DD. Click OK.
• Give him a letter then finish.
• You can access via the desktop / laptop to your network dd.

You can also get solution for this and in that you have to edit the registry. So for this I mean while editing the registry you have to more careful otherwise it will harm your system

• In this you have to launch regedit from Start Search box.
• Find the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

3. And after this you have to create a DWORD key under Lsa and set:
Name: LmCompatibilityLevel
Value: 1
4. Restart.
