LInksys E1000 wifi router - unable to set wifi

Hey guys ive just bought a LInksys E1000 wifi router. and i use a pppoe net connection , so right now ive configured the router on pppoe mode and hence the router is used as the dialer but i wanted to keep use my pc to dial and router just for wifi then is it possible???

Yes that is possible. There are two ways for that, first if you can set the dialer as an default internet connection and whenever you login to your Windows the system dials the connection automatically. Second that is possible by configure the internet over lan. That the dialer is given to you by the isp provider. Tell him to make all the settings over 192.168.1.1 page and not in system. When you configure your internet on the router then that is detected by system by default and it stays live all the time.
