    Windows Server 2003 Disk Quota

hi i would like to ask fi there is a possible way to track users files saved in the shared drive since the user is running out of space.

    scenario:

user1 has reported that he has only 200mb left in his shared drive and can no longer exceed that. we have set all users to have 5GB of disk space in the shared drive.

    problem:

user1 do not know what files is he going to delete and already forgotten all the files he stored in the server. is there any way to track/detect all his files in the shared drive under his name or login account? any software that can do this?

we are using ms server 2003.

    thanks so much

Re: Windows Server 2003 Disk Quota

There are some tools that can help you for this. The first is WinDirStat. This tools gives information on the file structure with the disk usage and other support. The the tool is very easy to use. The second to work on server level you will need a tool that can send you a alert when the disk quota is full. For that you can try Novell: Volume Space. There are other more tools which you need to work on the server level and only admins can have access for the same.
