difference beween spyware doctor 2010 and 2011?

Hi,

I can buy the spyware doctor 2010 + antivirus for €30 (with disk ofcourse) in my local pc store.

I can also buy the 2011 edition + antivirus for €40 online(€ 50 for disk version)

Is the 2010 edition still reliable? won't I get all the updates for a year anyway or is there a difference?

Yes offcourse there are some difference between spyware doctor 2010 and 2011. You can simply get all of those differences in the change log of this application. Anyways, some of them are A new OnGuard real-time protection tool, IM Guard, protects users of Instant Messaging applications such as MSN Messenger from access to any potentially malicious URLs received. Some recent malware infections are installed as drivers which protect themselves from removal and along with other installed drivers, are protected from deletion by the operating system. Spyware Doctor includes significant enhancements to its scanning tools.

Is it still 'usefull' to buy the 2010 edition?

I did a scan in safety mode with the free 2011 edition (free = so i could not remove them);

It found 308 infections (25 of them are (serious threat) trojans) will the 2010 edition be able to find and remove these aswell?

Yes offcourse it can remove the trojans as it is made for the same. You just have to make sure that it is completely updated with the resent security database and has been configured properly with your system. If still it cannot remove than, just go with the Microsoft Security Essentials. It is the best i have ever used.

If you have the spyware doctor 2010 then install the same but make sure that you are having the latest update for the Virus Database. First update with the latest virus definition and then check whether this is working. It is better to scan for the virus in safe mode and if found any then remove the same with the spyware doctor 2010. It will work for removal of same.
