Cannot share Internet connection on my iPad

Hi all,

I'm at work & currently on Windows network on a LAN and i wish to share my internet connection. Obviously when you are on a LAN the Server dictates what IP address you recieve in this case it is 10.50.x.x. subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway 10.50.x.x DNS 10.50.x.x. When you enable ICS you get 192.168.0.1., Gateway 255.255.255.0 on the laptop wireless card.

I have an IPAD and i connect it to the wireless on the laptop and the IP address i recieve is 192.168.0.2, 255.255.255.0. DNS 192.168.0.1, Gateway 192.168.0.1.

All works ok but i only get google on the IPAD. naything else just times out..What is wrong?

I'm the admin of the network!!..

is this because the LAN ip differs from the ICS IP? how do i fix it...??

Tried matching ip range i.e 10.50.x.x on the IPAD & laptop IP and it still is not working...i must be missing something

You can call to your Internet service provider and ask them for this issue. If that can be solved from them then they will let you know about that. Other than this you can also check this article from Microsoft. They have given many reasons and solution for this issue. Just see if any of those can be applied in your case. thanks for your suggestions much appericiated hmmm the ISP shouldn't have nothing to do with the ICs as the internet on the LAN works ok. As for microsoft it is to generic for the problem i'm having...thanks anyway..
