Unable to update Microsoft security essentials Error code 80072EFE and 80072EE4

I have tried to update Microsoft security essentials a number of time. But each time it stopped on its own with some kind of error. I am not able to figure out why. The error code which I am getting on the same is 80072EFE and 80072EE4. I am constantly getting this and I had attempted a numerous time for the same. What should I do. Should I switch to any other antivirus.

Sometime it might happens that update crash due to improper or damage sysetm file. You can simply try running system file checker that will help a lot. For that just start cmd and in that type sfc /scannow and hit enter. It will take a bit long time to scan your system and fix the damage files. It might also ask you to insert windows installation disc. If this does not help then remove MSE and install a fresh copy of the same by downloading it from Microsoft site.

The best thing you can do is switch your antivirus and get a new one. There are ample of good antivirus which are worth trying out. Like you can try using a anti-malware, or some kind of good all internet security. You can try using AVG or AVAST. I had used MSE long before but stopped later on as it always has bugs in it. And it is not easy to resolve the same.
