KIS 2011 slows computer

After installing internet security 2011 KAS I noticed that the pc windows xp home edition service pack 3 slow start-up and also to open explorer. Then once started after some initial indecision all is well. I thought it was on pc but a few days ago I install on another pc Kas Antivirus and known the same defect. Another problem, in the second pc I can no longer send mail only incoming mail. The settings I have Outlook Express and reinstated several times by this error: Error 0x800CCC0E. I tried to install windows mail same error if I use the mailbox from the Alice site everything worked, then the problem .is in my PC but I do not understand.

The version you have installed KIS is 11.0.0.232 or 11.0.1.400? In the first case a slowing down of the system is possible after the setup; even if the patches are downloaded with the first update of antivirus database partly solve the situation. If this is the 232 I suggest you download from the 11.0.1.400,because if you install the 400 over the 232 you may run into the error "Whole product feature that others have had choosing to keep the data activation, so you do not have to enter the code again.

Verify if you can send mail. If you already have the 400, considering that KIS does not block the default e-mail, check for sure that there are no viruses in the emails sent and received, the error message you mentioned is related to blocking or port 25 or 110 ( 25 for outgoing and 110 for the input). You have by chance some other firewall product on your PC? Try as a test, to close KIS (Right click on the icon near the clock and select close), so KIS is not active and if you still get the same error is possible that the cause is another.

If KAV 2011 replaced an earlier version of KIS is useful to run the kavremover. If there were other pre-existing AV then you need to use the removal tool for that product. If there are firewalls (specify which) then it would be useful to clean with the removal tool and then uninstall and reinstall the Firmware after installing KIS.
