    Active Directory Domain is not available

    ACTIVE DIRECTORY DOMAIN IS NOT AVAILABLE
    Have had (2) Epson R260 printers start to show this message within a week of the other.
    Only new Install is A PNY GeForce 210 Graphic Card ?
    w/o my office printers I am in bad shape. Now going on 2 weeks.
    called EPSON, HP PAVILION, NORTON, plus local geeks.
    No one has a clue as to why.
    One printer on Vista OS the other XP OS.

    Re: Active Directory Domain is not available

    As per your issue i will advise you to go with the below given instruction which will help you to troubleshoot your problem. Just follow the same.:

    • Logon the Exchange server by using another admin account.
    • Open Control Panel
    • Go to System.
    • Select Advanced tab
    • Click the Settings button of User Profile
    • Delete the Profile of user
    • Click OK.
    • Restart the server and logon it by using Administrator account.

    Re: Active Directory Domain is not available

    Got to the final setting you suggested.
    But not able to delete My Admin Account User Profile setting that shows my name etc.
    Profile is Lit in blue but DELETE button is not active to allow any way to delete.
    Thanx for assisting ... have you had this printer not working error before ?
    Seems like a really simple fix, but does not in "my very novice" experience to be what is a printer access errpr ?
    Don't take personally ...... Just asking
    I will await your reply ... now midnight here in Reno, Nevada and have just had it for the day, with printer troubles.

    Re: Active Directory Domain is not available

    Do I need to reset another Administrator Name User profile after deleting my USER PROFILE ?
    How will I be able to login / logon and access the PC ? without having admin access ?
    Again just asking.
    I guess the icon you have has me frightened

    I am not sure about the solution of the exact problem that you can try to see for the below listed things and check if that is set properly or not.
    • Network is set to Private
    • Network discovery On
    • File Sharing On
    • Firewall Disabled
    • LLTD Installed

    I also faced similar type of problem and the below suggestions helped me.

    1. Start -> Run
    2. Enter "control keymgr.dll"
    3. Remove all stored passwords relating to Exchange servers and DCs

    Re: Active Directory Domain is not available

    Now that makes a lot of sense .... even to a non geek like me I will report back as completed.
    Can you suggest ( second opinion ) what may be accomplished by the suggestion to delete my Administrator Access that was suggested earlier ... It seemed a bit of a stretch and possibly cause reentry damage.

    I like these...but can someone suggest how to actually navigate to each of these locations.. I'm totally not a geek who has the understanding> but can navigate with reasonable instruction >
    * Network is set to Private
    * Network discovery On
    * File Sharing On
    * Firewall Disabled
    * LLTD Installed
    thanx in advance for any and all assistance
