linksys with comcast modem

O.k. I have tried over and over to get my Linksys router to work. I have a comcast modem.. I have gone to command prompt and got my physical IP address.. entered it on my routers admin page.. saved etc. and I still cant get a through connection to my computer.. Please help.

Did you checked your firewall setting. It might be possible that Firewall might be causing the issue while router trying to connect to the computer of your due to some security reason. I will advise you to disable the Firewall setting and then check whether you are getting the connectivity or not. I will also advise you to disable any Security program if you are using. So if you can then try this out.
