How to protect Wireless Network from Hacker

The Internet connection is the gateway to a world of information, but it's an open door, where you can get out but also where you can enter. Therefore thought always come to my mind that, as one can find information through the network, others may use the same network to find information about you. Viruses, trojans and keyloggers are able to monitor computer use and transmit sensitive information such as credit card numbers and passwords, adds some more troubles. Using a wireless security becomes even more important because those who gain access to the network can use, free to carry out illegal activities without the owner's knowledge. So please tell me how to protect Wireless Network from Hacker?

There are some methods that can be used to control the security of your Internet connection. Some are simple, others are very complex and none of them can guarantee total safety. The Sniffing is the easiest of any attacks, it is the process of intercepting data transmitted by a wireless network unsecured. If you are connecting from home and the network is password protected, it is almost impossible that we can be the victims of sniffing. However, if you connect from hotels or places with free Wi-Fi, because the risks are high, there being so many people, a hacker has a wide choice. There is also an activity known as wardriving, which is the task for which Google has been accused during his tour to photograph the city (Google Street View). Some of their vehicles collect data from wireless networks unprotected. Easy then to understand how such a malicious person could use this technique to try to steal sensitive data. The best protection when using an unsecured network is not only the exchange of private information, do not access online bank account password and not to include sites.

Spoofing: If you have configured a wireless, you will probably notice that no more computers on the network requires a password after the first access. They log in automatically as soon as they find the signal. This is very convenient but it is also a vulnerability. Hackers often attack a wireless network simply by creating a new one with the same name and with a stronger signal. This means that the computer connects to the network automatically false, instead of the real one. Configure the security settings on your computer so it does not automatically connect to networks would be the best way to counter this threat (On Windows 7 management system prevents networks, in fact, this incident).

The crack passwords for wireless network security is a complex task for normal users but it's bread and butter of a good hacker. There are many ways to break the encryption of a wireless network, including some simple methods, within reach of anyone, can work. For example, WPACracker.com The website can be used to attack a network attack "Brute Force" that is making various attempts to gain access using common words as the password. This method can be time consuming and requires a lot of luck by the hacker. There are also networks that are protected with a WEP key. Now, I do not know and could not write a guide but I do know that hacking a bit and familiar with using computers (also Linux), using a popular tool called aircrack or with a live Linux distribution as Auditor or Backtrack, you can attach WPA and WEP easily overcome. Fortunately it is not so easy to use these programs, few people are capable and there are no reliable guides on the web. To guard against attempts to steal the password of your wireless network, you definitely use a WPA-2 with an alphanumeric password.

A virus or worm that can be installed on a computer without being detected by simply opening an e-mail or browsing a website compromise, can open a door to access the attacker. In particular, a computer can become an effective member of a botnet, without the owner's knowledge. Botnets are often used to send spam and carry out DDoS attacks against websites. L installation of a firewall will dramatically reduce this risk. A firewall is a barrier that filters Internet traffic and that can be used by the user to decide which programs can exchange data over the network or not. Windows 7 has a good firewall but still, you can choose to download one of the best free firewall. A wireless network could be used by others who connect to the Internet for free, taking advantage of unsecured connection.
