Windows 7 network connection loses after standby
I have newly upgraded from windows Vista to Windows 7. While the computer wakes up from standby, it drops its connection to my network. I am connected to a Zyxel router by means of Ethernet. I am quite sure. Got a feeling I had to perform somewhat in ipconfig, as well as keep a preset ip address for the computer on the router. I don’t know what to do so some suggestion will be appreciated. |

Re: Windows 7 network connection loses after standby
After updating as well as ensuring the BIOS plus locating nothing, you have to updated the network adapter driver to the most up-to-date Intel version as well as had an appear in there. You have to alter the network speed collection from Automatic to 100mbps Full Duplex, as well as also turn off the selection to slow the link on standby/hibernation. The Ethernet connection now approaches back to life as well as re-connects to the router instantly on wake up from standby. |

Re: Windows 7 network connection loses after standby
You have to checker the power config for the Ethernet card, as well as switched it so that it is supposed to not power cut while the computer goes into standby. You have to disabled IP v6 in the config settings as well. You had to seem at the Operating System Power Configuration also. If the PC is a laptop or a desktop by means of onboard Network card there might be a number of settings in the Motherboard BIOS as well. Or else you are able to attempt to utilize a static IP. |

Re: Windows 7 network connection loses after standby
You have to attempt assign a static IP for the computer, as well as kept that ip address in the client list on the router. The router is running the most up-to-date firmware; the network adapter driver is modern as well. As the computer is in standby, it has a network connection, however the instant you wake it from standby, the connection loses. You have to attempt another router. |

Re: Windows 7 network connection loses after standby
I had a similar problem. After installing Windows 7 the network card would not attach after every login. It reported that the network wire was unplugged (still although it was not). Setting the card link speed to 100Mbps Full Duplex solved the problem, so my issue comes into view to have been the auto-negotiate deteriorating. So please advise some solution. |

Re: Windows 7 network connection loses after standby
I had this problem and I localized what was causing it. It started after I installed LogMeIn on my PC. I disabled the service and it stopped for a while. I just noticed it had started again and somehow the service enabled itself again. I just uninstalled the program altogether. I wasn't using it enough to warrant the hassle and can find another remote solution that doesn't interfere with the normal functioning of my computer. |
