File/Folder Sharing

Hi there.
I'm looking to set up a folder on a windows 2003sbs which contains 4 sub folders.
example Folder STAFF.. sub folders John, Mary, Mickey, Joe.

we have a small network of PC's all running XP Home edition and it's a
WORKGROUP and not a DOMAIN setup.

I want to ensure the above named users can access their respective folders only via a password, and that no one else can access them.

Can someone explain how to do this please.

I would like to suggest you the following steps and so that you can solve your issue. to do this you need to go through the following steps:

1. First you need to change the Machine names and to do this go to the start and after that click on the control panel. Now on the control panel go to the system. Now on the system click on the Computer name and under that change the computer name.
2. Now go to the windows explorer and under that go to the tools and after that make click on the folder option.
3. Now on the folder option windows go to the view tab and under that make check mark on the Use simple file sharing (recommended) check box and after that click the ok button.
4. Now to share folder just right click on the folder and after that select the sharing and security.
5. Now on the network and security windows go to the sharing tab and under that make click on the share this folder radio button.
6. Now here if you want to restrict this folder from the some users then make click on the remove button and then click the add button.
7. Now on the add windows select the user and after that select the ok now once you done all this and after that click the ok button and then go through your issue.
