local area mobile service

i was thinking on the idea to install a local area mobile network in my campus like we have LAN or WLAN inside the campus..someone plz tell me is it possible or not?

What mobile phone are you using? If you have a wlan support in your mobile phone then you can create a wlan network and start internet anywhere, but you need to be in the range area where the wlan hotspot is located. About local area mobile network, I wonder what exactly are you asking? Normally, mobile network from vodafone or any other telecom companies install a network tower (a dongle kind of network) to get the mobile network in flow.
