I will recommend you to test the TCP/IP configuration by means of the ping command:
    1. Open cmd by typing cmd in the start search box and type ipconfig.
    2. At the command prompt, pings the loopback address by typing ping 127.0.0.1.
    3. Now Ping the Internet Protocol address of the PC.
    4. Also Ping the Internet Protocol address of the default gateway.
    5. Ping the Internet Protocol address of a remote host (a host that is on a dissimilar subnet).
    6. Ping the Internet Protocol address of the DNS server.
If the ping command be unsuccessful, confirm that the DNS server Internet Protocol address is accurate, that the DNS server is equipped, furthermore that all of the routers between this PC and the DNS server are functional.

I am also having the same issue. From last two days unable to connect to the internet and when I try to connect to the internet it gives the same message saying that the "dns server is not responding". I try the above suggestion but this does not resolve the trouble. If you have any other idea please let me know.

Like you both I am also have this trouble. But I have resolved this. I would like to know if you have made any recent changes in your software or hardware. Have you tried this by disabling your anti-virus? I just fixed it after attempting for so long. I did something by means of my antivirus mcafee. I disabled the lock down firewall choice and the whole thing just works enormous! Hope this will resolve your issue.
