How to change dynamic IP address in Windows 7 or Vista?

I have a Dynamic Internet service provider (ISP) IP address, so far it continue as if it were static, the whole thing that use to work in windows XP and earlier edition of Windows no longer works in windows Vista or in windows 7. I talk to my Internet service provider (ISP) he said that my Internet Protocol is dynamic as well as established it is not set by them as static. They had "no suggestion" how to change a new Internet Protocol address in Vista or in windows 7. Thank you if you have any working solution to get rid of this issue.

I institute this Internet Protocol address being store in the Windows Registry below:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\
    Name: DhcpIPAddress
    Type: REG_SZ
Data: (the actual Internet Protocol address)

You need to delete this value after that unplugged the modem, restart the computer, plugged the modem back in, as well as see if it keeps the different IP address as before. This was the just place in the registry you may possibly find this IP address.

Here is how to alter your Internet Protocol address to set it to dynamic on windows 7:

    1. On your desktop click on the icon that represents the Internet connection.
    2. After that click "Open Network and Sharing Center"
    3. Click "Change adapter settings" on the left side menu
    4. On your wireless connection right click and then click on "Properties"
    5. Show up "Internet Protocol Version 4 as well as click "Properties"
    6. Click "Obtain an ip address automatically" as well as click on "Obtain DNS server address automatically" this will set IP address dynamically.

Go to start menu and type cmd in the start search box, this will open the command prompt. And then type the below command in opened command prompt window: "arp -a". Please paste the result back to us. Ultimately, clear the arp cache to be certain that it cannot be transferred at the same time as the DHCPdiscover process. Hope this will help you to get rid of your issue.

If you did not resolve your issue by above method then try this Alternative:
    1. Click on start menu and select control panel
    2. This be supposed to take you to a panel with headings similar to System and Security, Network and Internet, Hardware and Sound, and so on
    3. Below Network and Internet, hit "View network status and tasks"
    4. Click "Change adapter settings" on the left side menu

Follow the above steps 4, 5 and 6.

Here is the easy means to free as well as renew your Internet Protocol address, if the address on your PC
is allocated by DHCP server set up in your network.
    1. Click on start and select RUN. Type cmd in run window and press enter this will open command prompt window.
    2. Type: ipconfig. You will after that observe the IP address as well as other network info of your network card .
    3. Type ipconfig /release to free the IP address.
    4. As a final point type ipconfig /renew to obtain new Internet Protocol address
I really expect this may help. It worked on my computer. (Running Windows 7)
