TrueCrypt is not detecting my non system drive

I have a 2TB hard disk and it is encrypted as a whole. I have encrypted the volumes of this hard drive for the protection of the hard disk. Now the thing here is that is that I am not able to detect the volumes anymore for decryption. When I start the truecrypt for the decryption then it only shows me the non system drive which not being encrypted and really can’t figure out what is wrong with it. Please help me in this case and let me know how to decrypt the hard drive.

Well I have completely gone through your problem and it seems to me that the truecrypt that you are using is not doing well on your system. Now what you have to do here is that just try and connect the same on any other computer enabled with the truecrypt and see there what happens whether the disk is detected or not. I think on another system the disk will be detected because the truecryp in your system is not working properly.

First of all I think you have to check out with the disk management whether the drive is detected over there and it is not then just you have to purchase the replica of the hard disk drive and then you have to clone the same. You can clone the hard drive that you have with the help of tools such as HDDclone and then fancy your chances with the original. This is because if you mess-up with the original disk then the backup will be there with you.

It seems to me that the truecrypt that you are using is not doing well or I can say it that it is corrupted. So what you have to so in this case is that just uninstall the truecrypt software and then again install the same on your system. Keep in mind that this time you are installing the updated and the authorized one. And also the software must be from a trusted source so that you will not face any such problems in future. I am sure that reinstalling the truecrypt will help you to solve the issue

If the hard drive is not being detected by the truecrypt then you have not to worry because it is already doing well because if it being detected by the system then it is fine. So the only problem that I find here is that the encrypting software. You have to just use any other instead of and see how it goes. I have an experience of using this kind of software and mind you the bitlocker is the best that I have ever used. So I will also suggest you for the same.
