Internet slow sometimes

I am using a high speed internet connection but sometimes my internet loads Firefox up slow and it also takes half and hour to load a youtube 10 minute video.I have tried switching off my router but still after some time my internet goes slow so please help me to overcome this problem?

You should try using Google free public domain name server(DNS) instead of using internet service provide DNS.To use the Google free public dns you have to follow the following steps.
1)Click on start button and then go to control panel.
2)Then go to the internet connection and double click on it and then select your internet connection.
3)After that select your internet connection go to property and select the networking tab.
4)There are many items you should select internet protocol(TCP/IP) and then click on properties.
5)There are two option preferred DNS server and alternate DNS server you should type 8.8.8.8 in the preferred DNS server box and type 8.8.4.4 in the alternate DNS server box and then OK
6)And if it will ask for a authentication type admin or user in the username field and type 0000 in the password field.
This will solve your problem.

Internet connection are sometimes slow because other programs try to use the internet connection so to find if any program is trying to access the internet connection without your knowing just click on start and then click on run after that type "cmd" (without quotes) and then type "netstat -b 5 > activity.txt".After 1 or 2 min hold down the ctrl button and press C. It will create a list of all programs using your internet connection after that type activity.txt to open the file it will contain all the program list.Then go to task manager where u will find the process menu which contain all the processes you can delete any process which is using more bandwidth but deleting any process will leads to some programs to not function properly.

This problem can also occurs if you are using a wireless router and you have a cordless phone or a wireless camera in your home or office.As Wireless routers are of three different types: 802.11 b, g,and n (2.4Ghz) or 802.11 a (5.8Ghz).If your wireless camera is 2.4Ghz or 5.8Ghz then it might effect your internet connection when the camera is in use and also if you are using a 2.4Ghz Cordless phone and 2.4Ghz Wireless router it will also slow down your internet connection when the cordless phone is in use.If both the camera and the phone are 900mhz then your internet connection will work fine.

It can also be occur if somebody else is using your internet connection such as downloading large files or watching videos and at the same time you are trying to access the internet.Then your internet connection will slow down as the host computer is using lots all bandwidth and you are using the remaining bandwidth.So you have to follow all the prevention method to protect your computer from others to stop accessing your internet connection.

You have to do some basic maintainance of your PC such as Disk defragmentation also you can scan your disks and you can perform a virus and a malware scan.A slow internet connection is usually caused due to viruses or other malware you should clear your recycle bin and also delete old and temporary files.There should be a sufficient amount of free space in your C drive.This all method can improve your PC performance and also increase your internet speed.
