Sharing of Internet Connection through Wifi over two houses

Hi, I need help on sharing the Internet connection over two homes. I have got a place of two antennas from “wifi-link.com” and, with their advice, got two” trend-net” access points & a router.I have several questions regarding my setup :In my two houses, should the Access Point should be plugged on the “ethernt-port” or the “WAN-port’ ?
    1. Which box will enable the DHCP?
    2. Does each house must be on a several or on the same subnet.
    3. which form should i select for every access point in my two house.

I am visiting to my laws home and annoying to set this up for them. Help is respected from you. I d like to get this going before the end of next week.

From your question I think that you may running 2 ip address ranges For example---192.168.1.x in house 1 and 192.168.10.x in home2.
If u want to have the setup like this it is fine from my point of view but since the home 2 router is too a ‘DHCP-server” and running a dissimilar “IP-address” range than you will have to plug the home 2 radio you previously configured in client bridge mode through the ‘WAN/INTERNET PORT” of the home 2 router and on the NETWORK---WAN SETTING on the house 2 router, select DYNAMIC or the other “ AUTOMATICALLY ACQUIRE-IP-ADDRESS”, this way the house 2 radio will get ip from the house 1 radio in the range of 192.168.1.x and retranslate it to 192.168.10.x

Hey friend I have the same query so I take your suggestion of using the WAN port. But ”No luck” When I had plug up the “access-point” to the WAN port of the router, I cannot able to ping the router or access point of home 1 from home 2. I believe that the auto-detection of the Internet system does not work hee properly. And I m not sure that what to use as an “IP i.e. Gateway” to manually set up the WAN connection in the home 2 router. Last effort, I was tried to place everything on the same 192.168.1.1 subnet but that did not help me so I will try to revert today to what I had previously something is better than nothing. Thanks for your help

Well friend that I believe that I’m very close now. The DHCP address is “switched off’ for the home 2 router and “etherner-wifi” computer has get an IP address in the 192.168.1.x range. So, the computers in home 2 have the right IP address & successfully ping 192.168.1.5 (i.s. the router) and 192.168.1.6 (IP in home 2) but not 192.168.1.4 (AP in home1) and 192.168.1.2 (router in home1). They won’t go online now ... As I set the whole thing up as point to by you, from time to time did not know what to utilize as gateway. I think this gateway location could explain the ping problem. I have set the IP in Home1in manual LAN with IP 192.168.1.6/ 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.4 (router in home1) I have set the AP in home 2 in manual LAN with IP 192.168.1.6 / 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.2(I tried with 192.168.1.2 but then, the IP were not assigned anymore) I have set the router in home 1 with IP 192.168.1.6 / 255.255.255.0 and nothing but 0.0.0.0 in the WAN location so there is no Internet IP nor gateway. I think it's all too close to working now and would be grateful for your help once again.
