Restrict a user accounts internet access in Windows 7

I am living in a private room with my friends. I have a laptop with Windows 7 and a Virozon Fios Router which is wireless to connect the internet. My problem is that when I went outside leaving my lap behind my friends uses internet for several via my laptop Guest account. It is very irritating for me because it is my personnel laptop. So I need to restrict internet access for certain time of the guest account. How can I do this? I do not want to close the Guest account. It is not a choice for me. So any experts please help me.

Have you aware about the parental control features in windows. This feature is not available if your system is connected the server. It manages the use of computer such time limits, games options and program restrictions. To activate the parental control-

• Click on Start Button>control panel> User Accounts
• In this select Family Safety. Now you can set the parental controls for any users. You will need to enter the administrator password here.
• Then click on enforce current setting.
• Here you can change the settings of time limits, games and Allow or block specific programs options.

I think it is not possible to restrict the internet access of the individual account. If you are in the domain environment and in the user group then it was possible to restrict. In domain you will just need to adjust the proxy server settings. Then you can apply these settings to any of the user. There is a little chance by using the parental control option in windows 7. You cannot restrict the internet access but you can block the website and programs such Internet Explorer. Without the Internet Explorer how can you browse internet if there are no other browsers installed.

You cannot restrict the time limit of internet access but you can completely restricts the internet

1. Click My computer>Dial up network
2. Click on the connection and uncheck the below options-
   • -Do not ask me for information.
   • -Do not prompt to use Dial up Networking.
3. Then click OK and exit
4. Now when the user tries to connect to the internet it will ask for the user name and the password.
5. Make sure that you have already set the password for it.
