Problems from Spyware, Adware & Malware.

I am having windows XP on my laptop. I am having an AVG antivirus installed on my system but from last few days I am facing some problems such as restarting of system, files getting renamed etc. I am sure that it has been infected by virus. Can you suggest me some good antivirus so that I can overcome with this problem and also with good mechanisms so that my system goes along way.

You can use some good antivirus such as Kaspersky, AVG etc. so that it can remove virus from your system. You should regularly update your antivirus system. Scan your system regularly also scan the pendrive before using. The windows firewall should be on because firewall blocks virus from entering into the system. Before you download anything on your system that downloaded files should be scanned first and then downloaded.

Spyware is a harmful virus that gathers confidential information from your system without letting you know. Spyware works with a combination of software that provides you with advertisements which are known as adware which conduct offline trade. Whenever you visit any website it collects your username and password. You should not download music files, not visit web site for free games etc. because these sites Spyware resides.

• Login only into the websites that you trust
• Install the software from the company’s websites
• For fake web sites before carrying trade the web browser displays a message saying that the web page is not the trusted one do you want to continue then don’t carry online trade.
• Before installing any software please read the licensee agreement.
• Do not download music, play online games from fake websites.

1. Whenever you start your browser if it takes to the page that you have not visited. Then make sure that spyware has made these settings into your system without letting you know.
2. Do you see a huge range of advertisements that you have never seen on the web page previously. Spyware also starts bombarding with fake advertisements.
