question how to see the share folders between xp and win7

I have an xp prof and a folder on desktop which is set for sharing (a hand icon below). I have just installed win7 home premium 32 bit on my new pc and I have also make a folder on the win7 desktop and have it shared. When I click on xp pc(pc1) , and view my network group computers, I can see user-pc (which is win7). When I click on it, it prompt me for user name and password. Both pc when power on goes to desktop automatically. no user names or passwords. What password are they tlking about? My objective is to be able to copy and paste into each pcs' folder. Both pc are connected to the router by lan.

Please advice how wdo I cover cone this issue. thanks

I think that there might be the network password is enabled on the Windows 7 running machine which is asking for the username and password every time when you wanted to share the folder with the same. You need to disable the "Network password" in Windows 7 for that you have to check out the below given link which is having the detail discussion about the same. So if you can then go through the link and see whether it is working with the issue or not.
