    Encore ENLGA-1320 / Realtek 8169 NIC won't link at 1000mbps

Recently i have purchased an Encore ENLGA-1320 NIC, which uses the Realtek 8169 chipset. It was assured to me that it will give me a 1000 mbps speed before purchasing the nic by the seller. I don't use any switch or the hub at home my computer has a built in slot in it for the network cable. The cable that i am using is the CAT 5 cable which is one of the best in the business and which gives me the best performance also i have checked it is normal not been scampered or there is any crack over it still it is not giving me the 100 mbps speed.

It seems to me that your configuration is too low for this and according to me you have to upgrade it, Because the NIC that you are using requires high compatibility that is the reason why you need to upgrade the system. I guess you must me using the dual core processor. Then i want you to just upgrade the system of yours to core2 duo or the core i3. Once you will do it i guess there will be no issue of speed it will give the speed that you require.

I was also facing the similar problem with the ENLGA-1320 a few weeks back and it seems to me that you are also facing the same problem, So what you do is just perform a connection test it might have happen that the connection of your of your network is disturbed some where so it might have giving you a low speed. In this case when i performed the connection test then there i found a cable was cracked in between and the signal was not proper.

I have gone through your problem and it seems to me that there is something wrong with the network connection of your network. What you have to do in this case is that just file a complaint to the service provider of your and clear them all the problem that you are facing the only way that you can fix it is by taking their help so do one thing file a complaint and wait for for few days , I hope that they will help you in this case and will also fix it permanently.
