Setting up ftp server and vnc server

I'm trying to get up a ftp server with help of Serv-u. I manage to connect via internal ip but not external IP. Get connection timed out. I have forwarded port 21 and 50000-50004 (PASV) to the ftp server. User Asus rt-N16 router (original fw). Connected local fiber networks. Router has been put into bridge mode.

When I test port 21 on CanYouSeeMe.org I get Error: Could I not see your service Wed 188.113.76.45 Wed port (21)
    Reason: Connection refused
Although the gate will be open through the Asus router.
Firewall is turned off in both Windows and the router.

In the log to Serv-u will come following:

    VNC server:
Have the same problem with the vnc server. Unable to connect me up with it via lan, but not from the internet. Have opened port 5901 and it will be ported to the server using vnc. The server has static ip from asus router. But while I've local fiber network so I still have ISP out this month and when I put the server in ISP's modem and access to the server 5901 so I manage to connect to vnc via internet.

Could it be that local its router (internal) rotate to the gates even though it should be set in bridge? The settings for ASUS says:
    Connection Status Connected
    WAN IP 10.0.0.3
    DNS 10.0.0.1
    Connection Type Automatic IP
    Gateway 10.0.0.1

To me it seems these settings are mysterious. There is a local IP from the router: lanport 4 and into wanport is connected the asus router.

If you connect a PC directly in local router, do you get the IP address? Settings that Asus has received from your router looks abnormal! So its certainly very possible that something is going on between the devices.

When I connect this directly to lan I get ip 10.0.0.5. So it seems to me that the router is not set in bridge mode yet. Do you think that I would have wan-ip then or am I completely off the wall now? Is there still any hope to get things work?

Whether it is the one who stands against the internet - so you should not have anything (not necessarily the internet. Depends on the layout of the ISP.) if it had been that bridge. Do you have access to the router? For me it looks as if it passes the IP and wasting with your Asus. Solution can be scheduled 2 times. The first time from lan to the Asus router, so on from Asus and the server.

Re: Setting up ftp server and vnc server

The device that I have received from ISP is a combined fiber modem and router box. I have access to the device by typing wan-ip. Shall I then go into ISP's router and then on the DMZ and enter ip to ASUS? But what I wonder is whether ISP have their router in the bridge or is it the customer service that puts the device in bridge? We generally have no access to the router.

You can reach it on a local IP? If you really MUST put the Asus in the DMZ so. If you have no way to just NAT traffic? (Open ports and send traffic on that port on to a local ip?) Devices in the bridge are "invisible" in a network. Have had modems from the ISP that is set in the bridge, and you need the equipment at the back have the IP, gateway, DNS etc from the ISP. and I had NO opportunities to reach the modem. The modem had no DHCP function.
