Norton Online Family is not compatible with Firefox 3.6.8

I am using Norton online family (NOF) installed in my machine for security on internet. I am having internet explorer 8 as browser on my machine and now just heard about Firefox 3.6.8. which is latest so I have installed it, as I installed it but thing is that Firefox 3.6.8 is not compatible with Norton Online Family also I get message like "Norton Safety Minder is not running” which my biggest problem now as I want to use Firefox 3.6.8 as my browser and also continue with Norton online family (NOF) .

Try to downgrade your web browser to Firefox 3.5.11 which is previous version of Firefox 3.6.8 it might help you to fix the problem with Norton online family with Firefox 3.6.8. Norton Safety Minder not running this might be because of problem with the program, or any one have disabled a Norton Safety Minder component you can try to fix it by just restarting the computer. See if one of them is problem and try fix it with the solution given.

You can go for the latest and the current version of Norton Safety Minder (2.0.0.48) which works fine with Firefox 3.6.8. so try to use this one it will defiantly solve the issue with the Norton safety minder which is not working with new version of Firefox 3.6.8. As there may be unsupported programs because of which your Norton Safety Minder is not running so you can go for uninstalling the unsupported program as:

• Go to Control Panel by clicking on start button.
• If you are using Windows 7 or Vista just click on Uninstall a Program.
• If you are using Windows XP just double-click on Add or Remove Programs.
• From installed list uninstall the incompatible program that are appearing in the error message after that click Remove or Uninstall.
