Don’t know the cause of this error message in your case but as per my knowledge, most probably it occurs due to Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware. There are well-known spyware applications that install layered service providers (LSPs) on client PCs to assemble user information. At the time Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) eliminates spyware programs, it deletes the spyware-based layered service providers as well. Though, Windows AntiSpyware does not reinstate any LSPs following it eliminate the spyware.

In order to fix this error and problem, open your command prompt or click on start then run and type in firewall.cpl, press Enter. This will present your firewall Screen. In case you are able to demonstrate your firewalls earlier than similar to yesterday or so, then you may well attempt a system restore.

You can do this from the Start Menu than clicking on all programs than accessories than system tools and select system restore. Decide the restore point by picking a date and restore the system.

In addition, I’ll suggest you to do the complete scan of your system with any good and updated antivirus to ensure your pc is not effected with any malware. They also result with this type of errors. Hope it will work for you. Do reply the result.

A security alert from Windows Firewall informs you that the Windows Firewall blocks a particular program. In this situation, just select Unblock this program dialog security alert. To describe the programs and ports blocked, you can organize the logging of felled packets in the Windows Firewall.

By means of Firewall Netsh Helper, you be able to configure the Firewall and logging to the Firewall at the command prompt. It is not forever a difficulty of compatibility of the program. In most cases even Group Policy settings can also block programs. Windows XP Service Pack 2 contains quite a few utilities to resolve problems associated to Windows Firewall.

To resolve this problem follow these steps:
    • Rebuild the Winsock LSP chain.
    • Test each of your third-party programs that are known to use LSPs.
    • Reinstall any malfunctioning third-party programs that are known to use LSPs.

In order to rebuild the Winsock LSP chain, just go through these steps:
    • Log on to the Microsoft Windows XP workstation as an administrator.
    • Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
    • At the command prompt, type the following, and then press ENTER:
      netsh Winsock reset

Just go to manage by right clicking on My Computer. Now on the left side, click on Services and select "Services" once more. Now scroll down and search for "Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)". Once you are there, just right click the key (service) and Stop. In case you find the Stop option disable, click on Start.
