Net use command for printing with DOS in the network

An HP LaserJet is a Win7-Ultimate PC via USB connected to. He has been released. On another Win7-Professional computers (all 32-bit) I have over the net use command for printing from MSDOS prompt from the network printer connected successfully. A print from the command prompt can not be executed. I get the message "Edit was unable to create or access the file" LPT2. I connect to another printer with the net use command on a print server (IP address) can be printed. Any suggestions for this problem would be grateful.

I get the message "Edit was unable to create or access the file" LPT2.

You open the Power Shell under Windows 7, then :

1. A printer you associate with net use LPT1: \\ ip \ printer / persistent: YES
2. A file you haws then with "Copy"

In your case, could the job "Edit" can not be printed because surely no. "Txt" was pending.. that's why you got mentioned error.

Use the net.exe command to ascertain a persistent connection. To do this, use the subsequent syntax at a command prompt:

net use lpt x \ \ printserver \ sharename / persistent: yes

where x is the number of the printer port you want to allocate, printserver is the print server giving out the printer and sharename is the name of the printer share.

You will have to keep in mind that Windows XP users who are not administrators cannot map an LPT port to a path if the network printer LPT port subsists on the computer as a physical parallel port. Also I want to say that you can print directly to the printer share by using the following syntax at a command prompt:
print / d: \\ printserver \ sharename drive: \ path \ filename

To publish a document unconstrained letter.doc from the root directory of your C drive to a shared printer as Laser1 on a print server named Pserver, follow these steps:

1. First you should click Start and then Run.
2. After doing that in the Open box, type cmd and click OK.
3. Type print / d: \ \ pserver \ laser1 c: \ letter.doc and then press ENTER.
   
   The following note emerges on the command line:
   C: \ letter.doc is being printed
4. To exit the command prompt, type exit and then press ENTER.
