Attempt to disinfect virus Win32/Alureon.H fails with Error Code 0x80070032

In recent days, my antivirus Windows Live OneCare tells me that there is a virus on my computer. It has detected a virus named Win32/Alureon.H. The antivirus cannot clearly delete the virus from the system. I found a crash error code 0x80070032 while scnning. However, my computer knowledge is more limited, I am not so aware what to do here. How to remove this virus.

You can find the virus file by using a diagnostic software. One of which I know is ZHPDiag. You can download this and it will scan your system and put information on all the files which are currently working. After a full installation, it will run automatically at the end. Click on the magnifying glass icon to Run Diagnostics. Save the report to your desktop using the floppy disk icon. Read that and find the exact location of virus.

I was having a similar virus last time. I use ZHPDiag tool to get the full list fo tools on the system. But the text file which was generated at the end does not showed up much support here. I have tried to repair Windows via the SFC / scannow command. It was proposed by the practical details of Microsoft site. But apparently, the CD does not contain the latest Service Pack.

It is possible that you have infection from a sub drive. Scan under safe mode and then get UsbFix. USb is your external data source that may have been infected. Run the tool UsbFix and then let it scan your pc. You can view the report generated by USBFix.txt in the root of the disk. The location is C: \ UsbFix.txt. In that you can find out the files in your usb and the threat detection.

I have a problem with my laptop that I cannot solve. I have a virus named Win32/Alureon.H, while the pack office no longer works and I especially can not connect to the internet. Do you know the solution. Otherwise I have to now reset everything no matter if I lose all my data. I had made backups already and only waiting for some help to remove this virus out or else I will format.

For this download and install ComboFix. Then you will need Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware plus Ccleaner. The one will scan your system and the other one will clean up your registry. Then install Malwarebytes and update it. In the same way install Ccleaner and reboot in safe mode. You can do that by pressing F8 on the startup. Disables System Restore first to avoid virus from coming back.

You can use any good antivirus and scan your system under safe mode. Under safe mode the virus is easily detected and cleared up. You can try to run system restore also which will put back your old settings and to some extent will avoid the virus. If scanning does not works then you might need to re-install windows back. Do not forget to backup your data before doing this.
