    Belkin Router - Using Fring

I have a belkin router at home, want to use Fring for video calls on it on my iPhone 4. It won't work over my wifi, and I've read that I need to forward ports in my router. I got a list of ports to forward from Fring Support. But when trying to put them in, i get errors. Can anyone help ? I don't just want to use Fring over edge/3g

I had tried the same before and was quiet successful. I had registered fring on my device behind NAT which has a private ip address and the same is configured by my router. I had forwarded 5060 UPD port to my private ip address and then done. And it really worked. This work is bit tricky and I will recommend you to watch some video tutorials for the same on youtube.

    1) I have a dynamic ip. Does this matter ?

    2) not too sure where NAT is in my router settings or if I even have it

    3) how did you register fring ?

What I meant to say was, how do I get a private ip address ?

the real fishy part is, my parents live 5 blocks away, and have a belkin router. I just went there and fring loaded up on their wifi no problem, no setup, no forwarding required.

    why is this ?
