No Wifi on Netgear Router

i have this router
tried to connect online a diablo wifi cam without success
so the router has to be enabled for wifi??
went on the netgear site and looked at a few things.....
lost my wired ethernet connections on my computers!!!
now can only use the modem ethernet direct to main computer
what the hell have i done!!!!!!
help!!
cant go online with other devices now
im a plonker for dabbling with things i don't understand!!!!!

What is the make/model of your router? Does it support wifi connectivity, are you sure? You can try to do the below from the default screen after loggin on to the router:

Click on the Wireless Settings link in the left hand window pane, then the tick box that says 'enable wireless access point' in the centre window. Set an SSID, select region, and WEP encryption if you want.

Yes, the netgear 614v9 supports wifi connectivity. To connect to the diablo wifi cam you will need to enable the Wep/WPA/WPA2 encryption on your router I suppose. Are you able to the see the CAM on your Router? I think that you will also have to enter the IP address into the Cam. In your decoder go into the ci menu and put the necessary settings. Out of the (missing) box you can't use encryption, so check your wifi and disable the encryption.
