KIS 2011 detects cracked Windows files

I am facing a severe problem after upgrading from 2010 version to 2011. I tried scanning my computer and KIS detected some threats on my computer. It then asked me to click on a button to fix the problem but even though doing that, nothing changes. I can see the message saying "C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE (PID:3440): Behaviour similar to PDM.Keylogger.Allowed" on the restart. I do not understand the reason behind this kind of behaviour. I am on Windows 7 beta.

I was also having similar problem as you. I have also noticed some problems in the threat detection of KIS 2011. So I think its the problem of KIS 2011 and I suppose the developers might be trying to improve its product soon to fix this problem. In the mean time it is better to downgrade your KIS 2011 to 2010 and see if you notice such kind of problem again.

Yes I have been using Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 and I am very disappointed with this newer version of KIS. I have noticed that 2010 was a better version and truly speaking the stable version of Kaspersky. I hope Kaspersky Team will improve this product very soon.

Since you Windows 7 is a beta version, then I suppose it is the one that is causing you the problem. I think you should upgrade your Windows to the latest final and stable version and see if this continues. Even I am using KIS 2011 and didn't noticed any such problem until now.

Most of the times a cracked or corrupted files can't be repaired and so you are supposed to delete or replace them. However, you can sometimes use a program to repair a corrupted file (available on the web). You can even check your hard disk for errors, if it causing you these kinds of behaviour.
