I may be (finally ) found an answer regarding the problem of updating the Windows Defender Definitions. I tried a manual installation of the update in windows to access the Microsoft website. If you go to this URL you can see that the last update for Microsoft Windows disposable dates back, the date on which suspect back to the history of my last update to Windows. It would therefore dir my history update windows is very much in keeping with the update available on the Microsoft site : That is so NORMAL.
