    WIndows Server 2003 broadcasting viruses

I think I may have some virus in my Server as some of the services are unavailable such as I have shared a folder and set it as AUTOMATIC. But it automatically turns off for last 2 days:-(

Please suggest me what should I do?

First of all don't use third party software for doing something that is native to the OS. Then try to compare ip addresses you get between being wired and wireless. Lastly make sure in tcp/ip properties of the wireless connection that netbios over tcp/ip is enabled.

    Thanks for your reply

This message is displayed when I log onto my server:
"Generic host process for win32 services encountered a problem and needed to close".

    What does it mean?

BTW this problem is showing on all systems whether it be wired or wireless.

    Regards

Most probably this error occurs when the system is infected by any virus or malware but according to a Microsoft article, such errors may arise if use an old HP printer driver or an old HP scanner driver. To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
    • Turn off the computer and the printer or the scanner.
    • Disconnect the printer or the scanner from the computer.
    • Restart the computer.
    • Install the compatible drivers and software for the printer or the scanner, and then reconnect the printer or the scanner to the computer.

That means the problem is the Virus, what you can do in this situation ? Go with any good, update antivirus program, and do complete scan of your system and deleted the malware.. As per best antivirus, personally i found Microsoft Security Essentials as the best for me, on my Windows 7. It is also available for Windows Xp and guess it would work on your Windows server. Try it out or get some another program form here.
