    Search dns entry

I need to change my subdomain and my DNS entries from our administration interface.Only subdomains allowing access to add-ons or options (such as the Shop E-Commerce) can not be changed. To change the sub-domain of an add-on or a shop E-Commerce, you must first remove the add-on and recreate the subdomain. so i want to know that how to search DNS entry of my domain. Please suggest. Thanks.

You need to Ping the domain controller. To do this, type ping YourDomainController. YourDomain . Com at the command prompt, then press enter. If you receive a response from the ping request could not find the host computer, domain controller SRV record is not populated in the DNS database.

To optimize subsequent queries, the recursive DNS servers also function as DNS cache: They keep in memory (cover) The response of a name resolution so as not to perform this process again later. This information is retained for a period called Time to live and associated with each domain name. A domain name can use several DNS servers. Typically, domain names in use at least two: one primary and one secondary. There may be multiple secondary servers.

To find the domain name associated with an IP address, it uses a similar principle. In a domain, the most general is right: org fr.wikipedia.org in the mechanism of resolution so it covers the domain name from right to left. In an IP address is the opposite: 213 is the most general of 213.228.0.42. To maintain a coherent logic, we reverse the order of the four terms of address and it concatenates the username field in-addr.arpa. Thus, for example, to find the domain name of the IP address 91.198.174.2, we solve 2.174.198.91.in-addr.arpa.

    Re: Search dns entry

An IP address can be associated with several different domain names through registration of PTR several entries in the sub-domain arpa dedicated to this address (in-addr.arpa. for IPv4 and ip6.arpa. for IPv6). The use of multiple PTR records for the same IP address is present in any part of virtual hosting multiple domains Web behind the same IP address but is not recommended since the number of fields to return PTR may exceed the response packet size UDP response and lead to the use of protocol TCP (More expensive in resources) to send the reply to the DNS query.

    Re: Search dns entry

You need to go Start>> Run>> cmd>> nslookup>> ls domaine.typededomaine. By cons you can list only the domains dns to the conditions that allow. From the control panel of your DNS server you can activate sub-domains as if it was a new area has its own right (although it depends on whose domain is not implemented on your server DNS). In this case, remember to add the NS records in zone file of your main domain, subdomain, these records are essential for the resolution and the search zone files for the subdomain is effective.
