    Store the network buffer

I want to ask whether there is a software that is used to control the network buffer?

    For example:
PC A is sending a data to PC B. Then, at the PC A, we can control how much data we want to receive first. So, with the software, we can control the buffer.

Is this kind of software exist?

    Thanks,

    Toni

    Re: Store the network buffer

    Hello,

i dont think so if any software is there to do so. I think it would not be right to do so or may be there would be a solution to it well

Data always gets transferred via protocols & if it is authenticated

There are 2 types of authentication i.e Anonymous Authentication where the user doesnot have to type a username/password to access the server/computer e.g you browsing the website

Other is where the user enters the username/password as specified by the application e.g FTP, Windows File Sharing etc. You can define in the protocol/application as how much datalimit of any upload/download should be there for the authenticated user. e.g in FTP you may define the data limit for upload. At network level, in a firewall you can be configure to prevent data upload/download crossing a limit but i am not sure if any application first seeks permission from the user if it finds the data crossing the limit.
