How to remove PE_VIRUT.AV

Sponsored Links
I have been irritated trying to remove PE_VIRUT.AV from my system with the Windows XP operating system. Actually, it has entered from the internet and hence, it will be better to mention that I use IE 8. The Escan antivirus, that I have installed in my system is not helping me to delete the same. Infact, it did not detect this threat also. I have found its processes running in the task manager. So, please help me on how to remove PE_VIRUT.AV.

Format the computer

Inorder to remove PE_VIRUT.AV, my suggestion if to format the computer, as this is a very dangerous infection and it must have spread through the entire system. I do not think that this particular threat can be removed easily, as its files cannot be detected by the normal techniques. Hence, I suggest you to format and install a new copy of the operating system that you are using.

AVG antivirus will help

AVG antivirus will help to remove PE_VIRUT.AV. This is because this particular antivirus is able to get rid of the infections like trojans, worms and virus too. So, uninstall the older antivirus and then, install AVG. Now, update the database of the antivirus and then, scan the entire system. Now, all the unhealed infections that will be detected must be removed from the antivirus interface.

An anti-malware

An anti-malware is the best solution that can be used to remove PE_VIRUT.AV. The Spyware Doctor is the best anti-malware available. It will be able to monitor the activities that are going on within the system. Thus, the applications and programs that are causing any sort of malicious activities will be removed from the computer. This will ultimately help you to remove PE_VIRUT.AV.
