    why do you need to use WAN ping?
    instead of ping, try use tracert.

    The proper way to do is like syntax.. net send <ip> <message>, for example:

    Net Send 102.1.2.0 Hello

    you can also try the ip that you have by converting it back to the dns name

    ping -a -t 321.654.987.0

    Ping to Hostname @ 123.456.789.0

    Here are the step that might help you for the description of the WAN ping. So go through the same and see whether this is working for you or not.
    • Click on Start
    • Click On run
    • Type CMD and hit enter
    • Now Type Net Send (IP address)

    Here IP address is the address of your IP
