    HELP PLEASE!!! Network cable unplugged???

I am having QUITE a problem with my network, and it seems like it is unfixable.

A few days ago we had a bad storm, I don't know if this caused it or not, but since then my network has been saying the cable is unplugged. I've been reading the similar threads, but none of them seem to be the same issue, just similar.

This issue seems to be way worse. Not only is my computer not able to connect via ethernet, but my mom's computer and my 360 are also having the same issue. Oddly enough, the wireless still seems to work.

We have tried resetting the modem provided by our ISP, we have tried MULTIPLE cables, and tried all of the ports. Nothing was working, so it had to be a problem with the modem, right?

Upon contacting the ISP, we got a new modem, and we still have the same problem.

Anybody have ANY kind of clue as to what's going on?

what is the model and make of your modem? by the way, when you say modem, does it mean it is just a modem? or it is modem + router?

if it is safe to assume, that you have wireless router (+modem), you can try to log-in to the router and look at the settings. this might give you a clue.
