    ClamAV as external email scanner

    ClamAV for Windows is a function of very good free anti-virus software, its very small size, will not take up too much computer resources, unlike other anti-virus software installed will drag the entire computer speed. And in addition to a powerful document and email protection capability, it also has a scheduled scan, online update virus signatures, timely detection and other functions, and the market leading anti-virus software is no less than the up. Then the scan component of, but the scanning software really weak, there is no comprehensive and customized testing, only the quick scan. We right click on files and folders in context menu does not scan the relevant options. In addition to the right of the "scan options" option there are two options, and whether the scanning process is currently running and loading files, etc., the choice of general recommendations. All the best.

    Re: ClamAV as external email scanner

    You can use editor to modify / etc / MailScanner / MailScanner.conf
    Check the code:
    Code:
    Run As User = postfix
    Run As Group = postfix
    Incoming Queue Dir = / var / spool / postfix / hold
    Outgoing Queue Dir = / var / spool / postfix / incoming
    MTA = postfix
    Virus Scanning = yes
    Virus Scanners = clamav
    Use SpamAssassin = yes
    SpamAssassin User State Dir = / var / spool / MailScanner / spamassassin
    Sign Clean Message = no (not in the end the letter notation "This message has been scanned ...").
