    Missing LPT1 parallel port from XP Mode Settings

    Hi all,

    I have a Minolta 650 copier, user interface is in Japanese, I would like to upgrade the firmware update into Chinese. Results Notebook (Mainland HP540) parallel port interface, not normal, and I bought a root switch the parallel port (Minolta 650 copier interface is a normal parallel port), the results point to determine updates, the computer prompts LPT1PORT CAN NOT OPEN (LPT1 port can not open). I also update the software in the selected USB port, the result suggest USBPORT CAN NOT OPEN (USB port not open). I use the desktop computer with windows XP. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.
