Re: Sharing between computers by using Residential Group on windows 7.

Windows 7 includes a new way to share data between all computers in the house with the Residential Group. In addition to easily share your images, music, videos, documents and printers between your computers, it is even possible to make you read another network device (PC, home console, TV decoder) the media content stored on your computer. Only when computers running Windows 7 may join the Group residential and enjoy its features.

Through the Residential group you will be able to easily share data between computers Windows 7 in the same group. Click the Start button and enter residential group in the search field. Press the Enter key. Click Create a group residential. In the window that opens, check the boxes to the items to share. Choose according to your needs and click Next. A password will then be proposed. Rate will be asked on other machines you want to integrate this network. Finally, click Finish and close the window of the residential group.

To share files with computers running Windows 7 that group, you must join the local group. On the machines you want to join the network and which must also be Windows 7, open the Group Residential. The tool indicates that a group is created. Click the Attach button. Select the folders you want to share with the group and click Next. Then enter the code that you noted earlier and click Next. Finally, click Finish.

In addition to the libraries, you can share any folder. In Explorer, click the right mouse button on the folder to share. Click Share and then with the residential group (Play) or Group Residential (read / write) according to the rights you want to give other network users. Read / write means that other network users can add, edit or delete files that you've shared. playback means they can only read, open and copy the shared files but not delete them. Yes, sharing evidence to confirm the sharing. You can now access shared files on computers Residential Group from other computers in the household. In Windows Explorer, open the Computer. In the left frame, scroll down the residential component group of computers. You then go to the computer and he shared content in the network.

With the residential group and the Windows Media Player, you can play movies and music that are on your computer from another computer on the network. Open Windows Media Player on the PC with which you want to read the contents of another computer. Scroll down stream and click the Allow remote control of my player. Then click the Enable remote control on the network. On the machine where your documents are stored, open the Windows Media Player. Click the right mouse button on the music or videos to play and click Play on. Select the remote computer in the list. You can drag and drop your content from the list: they will be read as and as on the remote PC.
