Norton Security Scan won't remove

Hi friend,

I need you help to sort issue related to the Norton Security Scan. Before two months I had installed this antivirus application. But before two days when I tried to remover this Norton Security Scan, I didn't get any success in it. I don't why I am not able to remove Norton Security Scan from my computer system. Please let me know how to solve this Norton Security Scan issue. I would appreciate your any help.

You are able to simply remove NSS by deleting the NSS folder (i.e. Program Files\Norton Security Scan) and delete the scheduled scan in the Windows Scheduler (Control Panel -> Scheduled Tasks). NSS by itself doesn’t re-install itself; if it comes back after you have deleted both the NSS folder and the NSS scheduled scan, then something else is installing it (i.e. Adobe’s Shockwave installer or Google’s Pack).

If you are getting problem while uninstallation of Norton Security Scan, then try following:

• First try to uninstall Norton Security Scan from Add/Remove programs.
• Delete the registry key named as 'NSS RunOnce'.
• Delete the file named as NSSStub.exe which is from scheduled tasks.

Hi friend,

It seems that your computer system is infected by virus, and which doesn't allow Norton Security Scan to be uninstalled. There might also chances that your Norton antivirus application is virus infected. I suggest you to install update antivirus application other than Norton Security Scan. And then scan all you system. Hopefully it will definitely works for you.

As per my experience over the Norton Security Scan, it is the worst antivirus I had ever seen. I think Norton Security Scan is not capable to remover all type of viruses and worms. It also slows down you computer operating speed. I suggest you to use the escan antivirus application. And then scan all files of you system. Then also try to delete the registry key related to the Norton Security Scan.
