This seems to a fake virus alert and hence i would recommend you to update the virus definiteion of the AVG free antivirus since this antivirus will definitely remove the viruses which are affecting your system after the updation of the virus definition. i hope that this will definitely help you to remove the virus.

Virus Protector is one of many fake antivirus programs. To manually remove virus protector, the processes associated with virus protector, must be stopped, the files associated with the processes that need to be removed and the registry entries must be resolved in the previous state before entering the Computer Virus Protector .

Try to delete the two registry keys which i have mentioned below

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Virus Protector
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Virus Protector

After deleting the registry cleaner you will have to remove a process associate to the virus protector

    • C: \ Documents and Settings \ [username] \ Local Settings \ Application Data \ [random]. Exe
