XP can not access the LAN settings

You need to check whether the guest account to open. XP by default does not open the guest account, so some other people in order to be able to browse your computer, enable the guest account. At the same time, in order to please the guest to set the security password or the appropriate permissions. Of course, you can also set up a machine for each user name and password to access each other between computers. Check and reply.

XP can not access the LAN settings

You need check whether the refusal Guest user access to this computer from the network. When you open a guest account but still can not visit, please check whether the refusal to set up guest access to computers from the network because XP is not allowed by default guest login from the network, so even opened the guest can not access the same. Guest user opening the system case to lift the restrictions on the Guest account, click on "Start < Run" in the "Run" dialog box, enter "GPEDIT.MSC", open the Group Policy Editor, choose "Computer Configuration < Windows Settings < Security Settings < Local Policies < User Rights Assignment ", double-click the" Deny access to this computer from the network "policy, remove the inside of the" GUEST "account. So that other users will be able to use Guest account network access to the system using the Windows XP computer. All the best.

You need to change the network access mode. XP default is to log all users from the network are handled by the guest account, so even if the administrator login from the network only has a guests authority, if the situation could not have access, please try to change the network access mode. Open the Group Policy Editor, choose "Computer Configuration < Windows Settings < Security Settings < Local Policies < Security Options", double-click "Network access: Sharing and security for local accounts model" strategy, the default setting, "Guest only - local users authenticate as Guest ", changed to" Classic: local users authenticate as themselves". Check and reply.

You need to know the computer name or IP address, by searching or direct input / / computername or / / IP. Please click the following actions to resolve: Start the "Computer Browser" service. "Computer Browser Service" on the network to maintain an updated list of computers, and supplies this list to computers designated as browsers. If you stop this service, then the list is neither updated nor maintained. You can get help from 137/UDP--NetBIOS name server, network basic input / output system (NetBIOS) Name Server (NBNS) protocol that is TCP / IP on a NetBIOS (NetBT) protocol suite as part of it is based on the NetBIOS name of the access network to provide the host Name and address of the mapping method. All the best.

XP can not access the LAN settings

Shared XP by default will only give the guest access or choose to allow users to change the "My Documents." Windows 2000 operating system users to set up a shared folder properties very convenient to operate, use the mouse right-click the folder and select Properties, you can see the sharing of the Settings tab. System settings in the Windows XP shared folder when you are more complex, the user can not see through the above operations to share the Settings tab. All the best.
