| The beginning of Virtualization
Hi, I am very keen to know about virtualization technology. I need a basic overview of the beginning of virtualization technology. The time when the practice of virtualization started getting a good acceptance around the world. This might be the future of services OS where we does not depend entirely on a specific platform to do our work. What are more done in this category. |

| Re: The begining of Virtualization
In 2008, the number of virtual machines deployed worldwide has exceeded for the first time the number of physical servers sold by manufacturers. Now used on an industrial scale, the hypervisor should be deployed on 21% of servers sold in 2009. In 4 years, IDC estimates that 60% of servers sold will be virtualized. Consolidation, Green IT, increased flexibility and availability of infrastructure are all arguments that preach in favor of technology. |

| Re: The begining of Virtualization
For the first time in 2008, the number of virtual machines put into service on virtualized x86 servers has exceeded the number of physical servers sold worldwide. This figure IDC says a lot about the revolution that is currently affecting the data centers of enterprises. According to IDC, a little over 5 on a server sold worldwide in 2009 will be virtualized and that number should reach 60% in 2013. at this stage, most of the global IT production will run in virtual machines. |

| Re: The begining of Virtualization
The irony is that the adoption of virtualization in the world of AMD and Intel servers is something of a homecoming. Born there nearly 40 years in the world of IBM mainframes with the onset of VM technology has made a gradual return to the world of distributed systems in the 90s with the first steps of logical partitioning systems for large Unix servers. |

| Re: The begining of Virtualization
Today is the universe of servers trivialized on Intel or AMD, which has in turn an infatuation with virtualization, a craze boosted by the popularity of VMWare - whose technologies are used on 80 to 90% deployments on the French market as integrators and manufacturers that we interviewed - but also by the rise of its competitors, foremost among them Citrix with XenServer, but also Microsoft, with Hyper-V, and Oracle with Oracle VM . |

| Re: The begining of Virtualization
The beginnings of server virtualisation are performed in test environments and developing a logical scenario, since many developers already using virtualization tools on their client for testing and were able to validate the benefits these tools. For such environments, virtualization has many benefits, the main one being perhaps the very rapid activation of a new development server. |
