    How to Test Wireless Switch

In the service configuration and management of test, the test staff for a fictitious company created an environment, and in an enterprise's office to provide a support for the three Working Groups of the network system. Many problems concerning the WLAN service configuration and management issues are embedded into this environment. Each vendor gave them a true demonstration of this request for a response, testers based on their demonstration of the characteristics of the results compared. Some manufacturers product requirements in this network, AP directly connected to the wireless switch, and more manufacturers are allowed AP to connect to any switch, through a tunnel and connect to wireless switches, and some wireless switches can also provide third layer switching functions to different sub-network packet exchange. Check and reply.

    How to Test Wireless Switch

Testers had 802.1x authentication and roaming testing. In these tests, the use of IBM Thinkpad R40 as a client machine, using Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server for Internet Authentication Server as "PEAP"Servers. The inspection certificate exchange (as well as general troubleshooting), the use of Airopeek NX Wireless Agreement Analyzer and RFGrabber remote wireless controlled measuring instruments. All vendor products support 802.1x, and to take advantage of thisAgreementCompleted the dynamic WEP encryption key exchange. All the best.

    How to Test Wireless Switch

Security testing, testers use Fake AP has a night test. Fake AP is an open source penetration testing tool, which per second from four different fraudulent AP broadcast beacon messages. Testing personnel in the security test would like to know two things: whether the switch or access point in the event of a beacon from the FakeAP is still running when the switch is able to detect and report FakeAP attacks. In this test, the tester is concerned that the operation of fraud AP and user authentication encrypted data packet operation. All the best.

In the performance test, using the four sets of data from the Qosmetrix's Netwarrior stream generator / analyzer device. A piece of equipment as a wired Ethernet data stream generator, and the other three devices as a wireless client (see left). Wired connections Netwarrior device to a fixed rate (per 500 or 1000) to each wireless client to send data frames. As Netwarrior use of GPS time stamp, testers can test delay and jitter. They have 1464 and 132 bytes of UDP / IP data packet (measured on the wireless side length) were tested. This test, the test were more concerned about wireless products in the process of forwarding the packet delay characteristics, because the testers that the delay could have applications on the network to bring even greater impact. Check and reply.

    How to Test Wireless Switch

In the test, the testers did not just test a wireless switch with a performance of AP, but with a number of AP after the performance. Testers that the wireless switch is an important feature of scalability is good. Testers in the test of the AP will be three IEEE802.11b scattered on a 1200-square-foot room, and they were installed in the channel without disturbing each of the three bands. All the best.
