How to maximize the performance of 802.11n wireless network card

    Hi all,

Recently i bought a 802.11n wireless network card. I found that a wireless N network transmission speed advertised as 300Mbps, but the actual use may be only 100Mbps. i need to by other Test Procedures to obtain the true value. I need to understand the ideal performance of 802.11n wireless card with the actual performance of any difference? I alos want to know that how to maximize the performance of 802.11n wireless network card. Thanks in advance.

You need to verify that the hardware is produced from the same manufacturer. The reason for WiFi Alliance certification of wireless networking products, is to ensure that vendors are developing equipment simultaneously. However, some features are proprietary to individual manufacturers, and must be matched to use Caixing. In addition, wireless N devices may involve more interoperability problems. Official standards to be improved is one reason, suppliers are also launched a trial product. We should use, and 802.11n wireless LAN networking equipment from the same vendor in order to avoid problems that may arise. All the best.

You need to use of WPA2 encryption. Wireless N standard does not support WEP, so use of such encrypted connection speed will be limited to 54Mbps, even if the use of N standard equipment is no exception. In addition, the first version of WPA can not even provide the N network to maximize wireless performance. Therefore, you should use WPA2 personal or enterprise encryption technology. If your adapter is the only support WEP encryption of the old products, check the manufacturer's website for driver updates to ensure that Window is the latest. If this does not help, can change the new wireless card. All the best.

Re: How to maximize the performance of 802.11n wireless network card

If the installation of 802.11n wireless card, the speed is not over 130Mbps, may have to change the default bandwidth. In order to use the old WiFi devices to reduce network interference, wireless N routing and access points use the 20MHz band. Wireless N performance increase is partially due to conversion to the 40MHz band, this technology is known as channel bonding technology (Channel Bonding). Therefore, to achieve maximum speed, need to change this default setting. Open a browser, enter the routing of the IP address to log into the Web interface, configuration tool, to enable channel bonding. To find the wireless settings, select the 40MHz band. Make sure to save your changes. Check and reply.

How to maximize the performance of 802.11n wireless network card

Wireless N networks, wireless G network, and even a standard B networks have backward compatibility. However, the old adapter to connect to the N network, the network traffic is separately managed. This compatibility of the speed and performance there is negative impact. Therefore, if you reach the required speed of transmission, to ensure that the network is only available for the wireless N clients. Log in Web interface, configuration tool, change the wireless settings can achieve this. If you want to support wireless B / G clients, consider using the previous wireless G routing or access point. You can be routed wireless G access point or back-end access to the new route. If the N route using channel bonding, you must ensure that they have been placed in non-overlapping channels: 1,6 or 11; or 1, or 11. To confirm that the new route and then only use the N standard connection. All the best.

How to maximize the performance of 802.11n wireless network card

If you are using channel bonding, you can not use three kinds of typical non-overlapping channels in the two kinds of channels. So you just have to make sure your channel at all access points using 1 or 11. Detection signal, to see whether there are other networks nearby, and then as the case may select channels. Check and reply.
