How to find the LAN fault

Hi all,

Network often fails, just as people are sick so often, like in the event of network problems, the most important thing is not to worry, to keep a clear head. I need to identify the problem lies in where generally at what situations. Please advice. Thanks in advance.

Re: How to find the LAN fault

In the "Network Neighborhood" and can not see the local computer, or open "Start / Run" using "PING" command, "PING" the local computer's IP address when unreasonable, explain your network settings, then first thought should be the card, we can open the "Control Panel / System / Device Manager / Network Adapter" setting window in the window to check whether the interrupt number and I / O address conflicts, under normal circumstances NE2000 series card for IRQ3 , 8029 chip cards for IRQ10. Card there is no conflict is found, the next step is necessary to check the Drivers the process is intact, and then re-install the network card drivers. All the best.

With the continuing need for access to information, access the user is also increasing, the port is also expanded. Recently discovered that all the computers within a local area network segment 192.168.1.0 Although access to each other, share resources, but can not access to another segment of the Web server, it can not access the external network, Ping intermittent within the gateway 192.168.1.1, lost Package rate of roughly 50%. The other network computers can access the external network segment, but the Ping unreasonable 192.168.1.1. All the best.
