    Hello, if you are having problem of the virus and if you are not able to remove it from your antivirus then you must need to make use of the Updates of your antivirus. As if your antivirus is not in updated state, then it is not possible to remove virus from your computer. So, you must need to update your antivirus application and then you can simply solve the virus problem by scanning your computer. So, just scan it and solve your problem.

    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile

    Hello, you need to scan your computer at the boot time and then you will able to remove the virus infected files from your computer. It may possible that your virus is making use of the system files and system resources and that is why Norton Internet Security is not able to remove the virus file from your computer. So, just make use of the safe mode by pressing the F8 key at the startup.

    Re: Windows xp Infected By FakeAlert-WwSec

    Hi, I'm a new member and my computer have recently been infected w/ the same virus; FakeAlert-WwSec. I use mcafee which stops the virus from damaging my computer by showing me a message saying that it deleted some FakeAlert-WwSec related file almost every 5-10 minutes. it shows that the file was from C:\WINDOWS\Temp\qnor.tmp\svchost.exe, and it was detected as FakeAlert-WwSec.e

    This is a malware and if it infects your computer then it will create the following registry keys:

    * HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-602162358-1897051121-839522115-1003_Classes\.exe
    * HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-602162358-1897051121-839522115-1003_Classes\secfile
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.exe
    * HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\secfile
    * HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe
    * HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\secfile

    Simply remove these keys from the registry.
    Anyways, about that deleting registry key method, i only found some of the registry keys, not all, should i still delete them?

    I've never used safe mode before, how do i delete it from safe mode?

    Any sort of help would be very much appreciated, thank you allllllll
